Hawaii Pacific Health is a not-for-profit health care system, which means all of our earnings are reinvested into improving medical equipment and facilities. We also invest in research, education and training as well as charity care for underserved people within our island communities.

“I love my work environment, where everyone is included and welcomed no matter what. I especially loved the teams that I have worked with because I was and still can learn various things within the HR department. I started my internship with the Workforce Development team, where I assisted with tasks that included but were not limited to scanning documents, administering skills testing, and preparing necessary paperwork for interviews. While working with the Workforce Development team, I supported the Recruitment team with some of their responsibilities that were not limited to covering the front desk and processing employee transfer paperwork. Currently, I am working with the Benefits team, which has been the team I feel most comfortable with. This team has allowed me to open up and feel like a close-knit family. In Benefits, some of my responsibilities are creating new leave requests, processing leaves to send out the Employer Rights and Responsibilities Packets, and processing denials for leaves.”
