COPE Health Scholars - Clinical Experiential Learning Program

Start on your pathway towards healthcare as a Health Scholar at one of our healthcare hospital or ambulatory sites in California, Washington, Hawaii or Oregon!

 

The COPE Health Solutions Health Scholars program is a direct patient, hands-on clinical experiential and workforce development program. 

 

Scholars are able to rotate through a variety of clinical departments based on their preferences and assist with patient care tasks while helping to improve the patient experience.

 

Throughout the program participants are given the opportunity to build clinical experience side-by-side with the hospital staff while caring for patients. 

 

At the end of the program, Scholars earn a completion certificate in Pre-Licensed Clinical Care and Patient Experience from our academic partner. Scholars are required to attend a 30-training, passing a practical and written examination with 80% or higher, and complete 250 clinical hours in order to graduate from the program.

 

In the state of California, this program is offered in partnership with UCLA's Fielding School of Public Health and is available at several Adventist Health, Kaiser Permanente, and Providence hospital and ambulatory sites as well as Riverside Community Hospital, Emanate Health, Dignity St. John's, Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital, and Hoag Presbyterian. 

 

In the state of Washington, this program is offered in partnership with the University of Puget Sound and available at Providence Swedish and MultiCare Tacoma and MultiCare Spokane.

 

In Hawaii and Oregon available sites are both Adventist Health locations.

 

Program tracks range from 3 to 15 months with new cohorts welcomed in quarterly rotations in Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.
