🚀 Build AI That Understands Humans on a Deeper Level

Note: We are looking for people ready to start hacking this together immediately, this is not a summer internship.

At CoDream, we believe most hiring platforms completely miss the depth of a person. We’re building an AI-driven system that uses conversation, video, and behavioral insights to match people with the right teams and help them do their best work.

We’re starting with an SMS-based AI application assistant to streamline how people apply to CoDream, but this is just the beginning. This project will evolve into a larger platform—potentially a smartphone app or other interactive experience—that helps people form meaningful collaborations based on who they truly are.

We’re looking for a technically skilled and design-minded intern who is excited to work at the intersection of AI, product design, and human understanding. You will help shape both the technology and the user experience.

💡 The best candidate is someone who can think like an engineer and a product designer—someone who wants to build systems that deeply resonate with people, not just function well.

This role is open immediately. You can work remotely or join us in Kauai, Hawaii.

🛠 What You’ll Do

  • Build & optimize an AI-powered chatbot using Twilio SMS + OpenAI (GPT-4) to collect and process structured human insights.
  • Design the user experience of the bot (flow, conversation style, and clarity) to make it feel intuitive and human.
  • Develop and manage backend systems (FastAPI, Node.js, or similar) to collect, process, and store meaningful human data.
  • Prototype early concepts for a future app, ensuring that the underlying system can evolve beyond SMS into a fully-fledged platform that helps people align with teams.
  • Work directly with the founder to experiment, iterate, and push boundaries in how AI can help people align with the right teams.

🎯 Ideal Candidate

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, UX/UI, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Full-stack engineering experience (Python/FastAPI or Node.js/Express) with a strong ability to implement APIs.
  • Comfortable with AI tools (OpenAI API, LangChain, Dialogflow) and conversational AI design.
  • Some background in UI/UX design (Figma, Framer, or front-end tools like React) to help craft a clean and engaging experience.
  • Bonus: Experience with mobile app development (Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin) or interest in building mobile-first experiences.
  • Interest in psychology, human behavior, or innovative ways to understand people.
  • Can start immediately and enjoys working in a fast-moving, experimental environment.
