Transmission Line Design Engineer
Electric Power Systems, Inc. is a unique company offering a wide range of experience and education in the areas of power system operations, transmission and substation design, and generation plant design. We provide extensive services from feasibility studies, line routing, transmission line design and construction management.
We are currently seeking a skilled Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position and may require some travel. Proficiency utilizing PLS-CADD is required. You must have knowledge of NESC code as well. Alaska professional engineer/registration or the capability of acquiring the registration in the near future is preferred. You will be responsible for the development of transmission line design (engineering analysis, route selection, structure spotting, and line design calculations), business development, and client interaction. Other responsibilities include technical design, project review, development of transmission standards, drawings, specifications, cost estimating, project scheduling, and project management.
EPS has the benefit of having a sister company performing transmission line construction and teams with EPS on design/build projects for transmission lines and substations. The position is located in Anchorage, Alaska or possibly at one of our remote office locations. We do work throughout Alaska, Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest.
