Restaurant Server
We are looking for energized, food-loving individuals who have a desire to create fabulous experiences for guests! Servers are responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to our guests. They play an important role in guest satisfaction and ensuring that they are enjoying their meals. For this role, you should have an upbeat and friendly demeanor to ensure a positive dining experience from the moment guests arrive until their departure.
Activities/Tasks
• Welcome and acknowledge guests
• Provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment
• Take food and beverage orders and make suggestions based on current specials and guest preferences
• Be knowledgeable and confident in answering questions about the menu and food
• Serve all food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Promote and recommend menu items such as salads and desserts
• Prepare and deliver checks and collect payments
• Welcome guests back for the future
• Assist in guest recovery as needed if guest is dissatisfied
• Adhere to all health department and food safety regulations
• Collaborate with other team members as needed (bussers, bartenders, etc.)
• Communicate with team members on a regular basis and carry out tasks as directed by the Manager on Duty
• Receive feedback from 360 degree Mystery Shop scoring criteria and engage in performance improvement post evaluation

Job Requirements
• Previous work experience as a Server or general Guest Service experience preferred
• Understanding of restaurant protocols
• Demonstrable guest service skills with a guest-oriented approach
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit
• Ability to work well under pressure and deliver an excellent guest experience
• Understanding of food hygiene and commitment to food safety policies
• Great time-management skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
• Dependable consistent attendance, and flexibility to work shifts that include weekends and evenings
• High school degree or equivalent in education and experience
• Commitment to food safety, personnel safety, sanitation, safe product handling, and personnel development
• Must be physically present in the building. This role is not eligible for remote work.
• Working knowledge of phone systems and point of sale system or ability to learn new systems quickly
Supervisory Responsibility
• This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements/Environment/Working Conditions
• This job operates predominantly in a restaurant environment requiring extensive standing for up to 8 hours.
• Exposure to heat, smoke, cold.
• Must have the ability to sit and stand; exhibit manual dexterity to use equipment; see and read printed material with or without vision aids; communicate so that others may understand clearly; physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; to bend, to stoop, to walk and to reach overhead.
• Must have high level of mobility/flexibility. Bending, reaching, walking.
