Human Resources Intern

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and company platforms.
  • Screen resumes and schedule interviews with candidates.
  • Participate in interviews and provide feedback on candidates.
  • Maintain and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

  Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Assist in preparing onboarding materials for new hires.
  • Help coordinate new hire orientation sessions and ensure required documentation is completed.
  • Support the creation and delivery of training materials for new employees.

  Employee Relations:

  • Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement events and activities.
  • Help gather and analyze employee feedback through surveys or interviews.

  Project Support:

  • Contribute to HR-related projects, such as policy updates, diversity initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Assist with research and benchmarking on HR trends and best practices.

Compliance and Record-Keeping:

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date records for compliance purposes (e.g., employee certifications, training records).

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Clearance/Certification: 1) Criminal Background Check; 3) Child Protective Service/Adult Protective Service check
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Interest in learning about HR functions and processes.
