
Human Resources Intern
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and company platforms.
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews with candidates.
- Participate in interviews and provide feedback on candidates.
- Maintain and update candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Onboarding and Orientation:
- Assist in preparing onboarding materials for new hires.
- Help coordinate new hire orientation sessions and ensure required documentation is completed.
- Support the creation and delivery of training materials for new employees.
Employee Relations:
- Respond to basic employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement events and activities.
- Help gather and analyze employee feedback through surveys or interviews.
Project Support:
- Contribute to HR-related projects, such as policy updates, diversity initiatives, and process improvements.
- Assist with research and benchmarking on HR trends and best practices.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date records for compliance purposes (e.g., employee certifications, training records).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Clearance/Certification: 1) Criminal Background Check; 3) Child Protective Service/Adult Protective Service check
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Interest in learning about HR functions and processes.
