We are looking for a skilled and motivated Project Architect to plan, develop, and coordinate complex projects while serving as the main point of contact for clients.
THE VALUE YOU BRING:
- Plans and develops projects and works under minimal supervision.
- Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.
- Plans and develops architectural projects concerning unique and/or controversial complexities that significantly impact major company programs; Prepares drawings and specification documents. Performs architectural design analysis and evaluations. Plans layout of projects and prepares scale drawings.
- Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation and development of novel concepts and methods.
- Prepares documents including project specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and other required project related work for obtaining regulatory approvals.
- Conducts analyses of technical products and systems and prepares plans for implementation.
- Serves as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget and with maximum client satisfaction. Participates in client or customer coordination and planning meetings and includes customer liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Prepares architectural design reports, basis of design reports, and other technical studies.
- Reviews design-related submittals (including deviations and change orders) and requests for information.
- Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level design and planning contributor/specialist.
- Prepares proposals for review by Senior Project Manager.
- Participates in team effort to develop innovative ideas, strategies, and tactics to support engineering business development and marketing
- Other duties as directed.
THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Eligible for Professional Architectural License, State of Hawaii within 12 months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture; advanced degree in Architecture preferred.
- 3-5 years architectural experience required
- Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures; relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to independently evaluate, select and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
- Ability to understand the technical and commercial aspects of a contract and project documents.
- Proficiency with Office computer applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Project management experience preferred.
