What will you do as a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern?

  • Work with our team on real-world projects, including the development and implementation of new technologies and services, as well as the deployment and commercialization of technical products. This includes addressing technical feasibility, process optimization, and production challenges.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and research teams to create innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing design solutions. Drive product development through all phases of the design process, from conceptualization to production, in partnership with the engineering and research teams.
  • Prepare samples of new materials using various laboratory techniques. Conduct chemical and mechanical testing of materials, applying scientific and engineering principles to develop new materials, processes, technologies, and products aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
  • Support the commercialization of technology products, including the procurement and storage of materials, manufacturing, and shipping/delivery of finished products to customers on time and within budget. Assist in identifying, researching, and coordinating the procurement, setup, and maintenance of production facilities, equipment, and supplies, while resolving issues with vendors and clients.
  • Participate in QA operations to support the development, testing, and release of finished products.

What are we looking for in a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern?

  • Recent graduate (within the past year) OR student currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree-seeking program (diploma, certificate, etc.) at a 2-year or 4-year college/university, or graduate/professional school.
  • Major in Mechanical Engineering, Astronomy, Physics, or a related technology field.
  • Academic project or work experience in mechanical engineering, robotics, manufacturing, or product design.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with high initiative and recent experience across various aspects of product development and engineering.
