First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Security Officer to join the team in our Security Department. This role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of physical security and investigation activities in the Security Department. The Security Officer will ensure that losses due to crimes against the bank and customers are kept to a minimum and mitigated appropriately. This role also prepares management reports and participates in developing physical security and investigation policies and procedures to ensure that bank, employees and customers assets are protected. The Security Officer will provide support to Service Delivery, BankCard Center, EOS-Loss Prevention and Recovery, EOS-EFT, Audit Department, and other bank departments on security-related matters.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $90,000 / annually ; commensurate with experience
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM (hours may vary)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in business related or criminal justice field, or equivalent work experience required
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in investigations (i.e. fraud investigations/prevention, corporate investigation, or similar), and/or physical security or law enforcement, with knowledge related to physical security technology (CCTV, alarms, access control) and security guard operations
- ASIS International - Professional Certified Investigator or Physical Security Professional or Certified Protection Professional preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Powerpoint and Access preferred
- Good written and verbal communication
- Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
- Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through
- Good time management skills
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills required
- Analytical and investigative skills are essential
- Ability to work with diplomacy and perseverance in dealing with irate customers, suspects, merchants and the like who may be exhibiting belligerent behavior
