Baby Class Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer intern to assist with our baby classes, designed to support the development of infants and provide educational resources for families. This role is perfect for individuals interested in child development, healthcare, and family engagement.



 

Dates: Jan 18, Jan 25, Feb 1, Feb 8, Feb 15, Feb 22

Times: 8:30-1:30pm for each listed date



 

Key Responsibilities:.

- **Class Assistance:** Support the teachers during class by setting up the environment, helping with demonstrations, managing class materials, and ensuring a smooth flow of activities.

- **Sanitation and Maintenance:** Ensure all equipment and materials used during classes are sanitized and maintained.

- -**Family Interaction:** Assist in managing the class environment, which includes interacting with children and their families, helping address their questions, and providing guidance as directed by the teachers.


 

Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment (max 20 lbs).

- A genuine interest in child development and family health.

- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to scheduled classes.

- Prior experience in childcare or education is a plus but not required.


 

Training and Supervision:

Volunteers will receive training and ongoing support from our pediatric therapists and class teachers. You will be briefed on safety protocols, equipment handling, and class procedures.
