Position Title: Maintenance Technician 1st Class
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Manager of Facilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including repairing and maintaining buildings, equipment, systems and grounds. Completes minor construction projects within scope of training and experience.
Starting Wage: $20.882
The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
- Current State of Hawaii driver’s license.
Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
- One (1) year of working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building controls systems.
- One (1) year of general building maintenance experience using power equipment and hand tools.
- Problem solving, organizational skills and ability to work independently and part of the team.
- Customer service and effective communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
- Current State of Hawaii driver’s license.
Education:
- At least two (2) years of Vocational Trade School education.
Skills/Experience:
- Two (2) years building construction or utilities trade experience.
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
