Office Administrative Intern
Summary: Under the direction of the Supervisor (Program Manager), conducts office administrative duties that include but are not limited to greeting visitors and residents of Kahauiki Village, assisting with community engagement activities, updating confidential trackers and records of residents, creating community flyers or brochures that inform the residents of needed information, and assisting IHS staff with other office duties.
4. Student Intern Expectations
- Pass a background check.
- Adhere to daily schedule and hours.
- Write DAP notes, lesson plans, posters and announcements for parents to ensure high participation from families in activities and programs.
- Successfully pass First Aid and CPR classes as well as on site training.
- Maintain professional boundaries with families for the purpose of strengthening community and promoting healthy lifestyles and parenting while offering positive customer service and support.
- Consistently maintain accurate attendance, safety and program records through SAMi or other systems of record as required and provide data to support outcome measures.
- Basic organizational skills
- The ability to work independently when given specific tasks.
- Maintains appropriate standards for release of protected information and confidentiality laws for both state and federal agencies.
