First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced, results driven, collaborative AVP & Assistant General Ledger Manager to join our Controller’s Division Team. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Bank’s general ledger system, including coordinating and supervising the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial results, directly supervise all GL staff. You will also be responsible for effectively planning, communicating, and coordinating resources to comply with the application of generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements, internal policies and other applicable guidelines and regulations.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Hours may vary)

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $59,509 - $103,168/yr; commensurate with experience. 

The ideal candidate will have

  • Four-year college degree with major in accounting or finance related field.
  • CPA certification, or equivalent banking / financial institution experience preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting in banking / financial institution, or public accounting.
  • 2 years’ experience in working with general ledger systems and preparing financial statements. 
  • 2 years supervisory experience.
