Overview of Role

The Creative Media Intern is responsible for creating engaging content for our company’s Intranet, LinkedIn page, and project features for national and global publications. Plays a lead role in video editing and production tasks that support emerging video content initiatives. Hands-on involvement in planning, coordinating, and executing various internal and external events.

Essential Functions

  • Content Creation: Lead the scheduling and creative development of written and visual content for company Intranet articles that enhance internal communication across the North American practice.
  • Social Media Management: Lead the scheduling and creative development of written and visual content for our company LinkedIn page highlighting Hawaii Region activities to a global audience of 88K followers.
  • Project Features: Develop creative written and visual content for project features to be published and distributed across RLB’s owned channels that encompass print and digital media.
  • Video Production Support: Serve as an assistant editor for video projects by organizing footage, syncing audio and video, and preparing projects for final cuts.
  • Event Support: Assist in planning, coordination and providing day-of support for internal and external events, ensuring smooth execution and impactful experiences.
  • All-Staff Event Coordination: Support the planning, content development, coordination and day-of logistics for our monthly all-staff events.

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering professional excellence, with good commercial results. 

  • Minimum Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Skills Required: Efficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, including InDesign and Premiere Pro. 
  • Desired Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks. Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and content creation.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Indoor office environment. May require work on site location when necessary.
  • Equipment used includes: computers and standard office machines.
  • Essential physical tasks include: the ability to work on a computer and the ability to answer and speak on a telephone.  The position requires the ability to perform various tasks typical of an office environment, including occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 20 lbs.
