Telephone Interviewer
Narrative of Duties:
Conducts initial contact calls and brief follow-up interviews on behalf of the Hawaii State Department of Health's Disease Outbreak Control Division for the purpose of:
First contact with Resident First contact with COVID (+) Resident
Conducting a brief interview to collect demographic, behavioral, and exposure information
Providing resource information, including DOH guidance and responses to frequently asked questions
Providing contact information to key service providers
Follow-up if Resident does not answer call
Requirements:
Speaks with a pleasant, polite and clearly understood telephone voice.
Professional demeanor.
Good computer skills.
Excellent command of the English language.
Able to read from a pre-defined script with ease.
Able to follow directions and accurately record respondent’s answers.
Proven ability to work independently and in a productive manner.
Reliable.
Must consent to and pass a standard background check administered by the State Department of Health.
Must sign confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement from State Department of Health.
Miscellaneous:
The position is a part-time, on-call position that is subject to project availability.
Absolutely no sales or product promotion.
No provision for remote work.
Parking not provided.
Work Hours:
Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
*Immediate need is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
