Retirement Plans Officer

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Retirement Plans Officer to join our Benefits Team. This role is responsible for administration of corporate defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, maintaining and analyzing retirement data, performing retirement counseling and leading and/or assisting with other retirement initiatives and projects. The Retirement Plans Officer ensures programs and initiatives are communicated, processed and delivered within company and regulatory requirements. 

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $112,000 per year; commensurate with experience.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

Work Arrangement:
 

This role is an on-site work arrangement. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience required
  • 5 years of experience in retirement plan administration required 
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations related to retirement plans required
  • Experience in Human Resources highly desirable 
  • Demonstrated competency/mastery in all areas of benefits administration, including but not limited to retirement, health and welfare
  • Solid knowledge of ERISA, qualified and non-qualified benefits, and other federal and state regulations 
  • Proficient in intermediate to advanced-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and HRMS systems (PeopleSoft and ADP Workforce Now)
  • Possess effective planning, time management, project management and organizational skills to management multiple, competing deadlines and projects
  • Possess strong business communication skills to include active listening, presentation, writing and speaking
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and work experience in problem solving, quantitative and qualitative analysis, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Able to remain flexible and adaptable in a rapid and changing environment
