Job Summary/Description:  

KGMB (CBS), KHNL (NBC), and K5 is seeking a part-time Photojournalist. Hawaii News Now is the state's dominant multimedia news organization. This person must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. The successful candidate must have strong video photography skills. Experience with LIVEU and microwave live trucks is a plus. This includes a "digital first" mindset with a leading presence on Facebook, Twitter, hawaiinewsnow.com as well as Instagram.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- The successful candidate must have a strong eye for video storytelling.
- We are looking for candidates who have advanced knowledge of photojournalism. 
- Candidates must be a great communicator and should have natural leadership skills. 
- Candidates must be able to sift through complicated issues and provide clarity to viewers and digital news consumers. 
- Newscasts are fast-paced, “Happening Now” newscasts, filled with LIVE reports and breaking news from anywhere. 
- Adjusting to situations is key and thinking uniquely to breaking events to contribute as needed.
- Multi-tasking is key as you will be juggling many things at once.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Experience with ENPS and Edius editing is a plus.
- LIVEU experience and microwave truck experience are a plus! 
- Strong photography skills and knowledge of Hawaii. 
- College degree in journalism or related experience is required. 
- Must be able to work extra hours, holidays, etc. 
- Must have a valid driver's license.
