Volunteer Connection Team Member

Opportunity Details

Volunteer Connection Team Members-are the point of contact between the volunteers and our profile management system. Your role would be to handle transfers of volunteer profiles, inactivations of volunteers that are no longer interested, training for new volunteers when it comes to logging in and how to log hours, helping with simple IT issues like assisting with password resets, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

•Serve as a champion of Volunteer Connection, the Red Cross’s online database. • Provide expert support and guidance to Department Volunteer Engagement Leads in the proper and maximized utilization of Volunteer Connection • Establish an ongoing Volunteer Connection training calendar • Conduct Volunteer Connection training, using official American Red Cross training materials for volunteers and volunteer supervisors• Serve as a region Volunteer Connection expert • Provide data and analysis to supervisor to help maintain accurate information within the database • Provide leadership and delegation to team members if necessary

Time Commitment: Approximately 8hr/Week working remotely and on-site

Length Of Appointment: One year, renewable annually based on satisfactory performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership  • Cultural sensitivity to diverse audiences • Knowledge and understanding of Red Cross services and operations and opportunities for volunteer service • Work well both individually and with others • Relevant, complementary management and/or technical skills/operational experience • Relationship building skills working collaboratively with staff/volunteer partners as well as board members, and senior management • Understand the value of volunteers and provide leadership and support to ensure volunteers are productive and have a mutually rewarding experience • Strong computer skills, preferred database knowledge • Independently driven and well-organized • Must have 2-3 days weekday availability (during business hours), 1yr commitment preferred
