Restaurant Manager

Position Summary
  • Support the General Manager in leading all staff members in exceeding the expectations of our employees, guests and investors in a supportive work environment with proven processes focused on maintaining our reputation as Hawaii’s Favorite Japanese Restaurant.
  • Participate and contribute at Weekly Meetings that focus on achieving goals, solving problems and accountability.
Key Results Areas
  • Open and or close the restaurant.
  • Run effective shifts 
  • Cash and receipts management
  • Employee shift schedule assignments

  • POS and Computer skills – cashiering, cash handing, data entry and report generation.

This position requires a high school diploma (or GED or high school equivalence certificate).
A 2 year college degree or 2 years of restaurant management.
Language skills
Japanese helpful but not at all necessary. 
Current TB clearance and proof of HepA and vaccination needed upon hire.
Employee must meet the eligibility requirements for hiring bonus. Applied and hired during the incentive period (05/11/22 - 12/31/22). Disclosures: The employee must be employed by REI Food Service, LLC dba Gyotaku Japanese Restaurants at the time of payment and in good standing. Payments are subject to applicable taxes and legal withholding. Hired applicants that were hired through a recruitment agency are not eligible for the hiring bonus. Other terms and conditions may apply.
