Physical Science Technician | Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF

Openings are with the Radiological Monitoring Division at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. We are classified as Physical Science Technicians working for the Department of the Navy under the General Schedule Pay Scale with entry level positions at GS-4 or GS-5 pay based on qualifications. We provide direct support to the US Navy for the maintenance and repair of Navy Nuclear Powered vessels. The minimum qualification for entry level positions based on education are as follows:

GS-4: Successful completion of 2 years of study that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as physical science, engineering, or any branch of mathematics, except financial and commercial mathematics.

GS-5: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of physical science, or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as physical science, engineering, or any branch of mathematics, except financial and commercial mathematics.
