Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. The purpose of the OHE is to advance health equity by: 1) assessing and monitoring population health and identifying health disparities; 2) engaging stakeholders to develop policies, systems, and environmental change improvements to eliminate health inequities; 3) evaluating and monitoring efforts; and 4) reassessing strategies with the continuous engagement of key stakeholders. The PREP OHE Accountant will 1) provide financial assistance to the managers and federal programs in the OHE, Chronic Disease Management Branch, and Primary Prevention Branch; 2) assure compliance with all State, Federal, Department, and Division requirements; 3) maintain accounts and prepares budget and expenditure reports for the OHE; 4) provide assistance reviewing, developing, and preparing budget instruction procedures, projections, variances, reports, forms, and other cost data information for the preparation of the biennium and supplemental operating budget of the Division; and 5) conducts fiscal analyses throughout the development and preparation of program planning and budgeting system documents for the OHE.
Minimum Qualification(s)
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four (4) year college or university with at least twelve (12) semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of accounting and/or auditing experience. The experience must have demonstrated the ability to elicit information orally and in writing, apply problem solving methods and techniques, identify alternatives, use of judgment in determining alternatives for action and prepare accurate and timely written documentation of findings and recommendations, formulate alternatives for action based on laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and prepare concise reports.
