CIVIL ENGINEERING & LAND SURVEYING INTERNSHIP
Fukumoto Engineering is currently accepting applications for a Summer 2022 Intern to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to gain hands on land surveying experience while working under the supervision of our diverse group of licensed land survey and civil engineering professionals in the field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Specific duties may include:
- Performing survey field work, including, setting up and operating land surveying instruments such as total stations and data collectors, robotic total stations, geographic positioning system receivers and data collectors, digital and optical levels, digital 3D scanners, and Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS or drone).
- Maintaining survey equipment and vehicle.
Other duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with general office work such as running errands and maintaining files.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be in the process of obtaining a degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying (AS or BS) or a relevant degree with interest in pursuing a Civil Engineering or Land Surveying career;
- Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel);
- Be detail oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to learn;
- Have a valid, clean driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- Experience with the use, handling and care of land surveying instruments is preferred
- Experience with the use of AutoCAD preferred
