Digital Communications Intern - Summer 2022
Becker Communications, Inc. (BCI) is looking for a spring intern to join its Digital Communications department on a part-time basis from June 13 to August 19, 2022. In this position, you will work alongside the Digital Communications team and collaborate with other areas of our agency (public relations and marketing). This internship is only available in Hawaii, however, as BCI continues to work on a hybrid schedule temporarily, this internship provides remote opportunities.
What do we do?
The Digital Communications team develops and implements online strategies tailored specifically to each client's needs, and in full alignment with the client's other communications strategies and programs. The digital team produces creative deliverables for various channels including, online advertising, email marketing, social media, and web development.
Responsibilities:
The Digital Communications Intern will provide support to the BCI digital team, where he or she will assist in executing various digital tools for a variety of clients to include, but not be limited to: drafting and scheduling social media posts (Facebook, Twitter and lnstagram); creating graphics and videos for social media; developing email campaigns; developing and maintaining websites; and pulling digital analytics for web, social, email and digital advertising.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or graduated within the last 6 months from a college/university program
- Willingness to learn
- Understanding of different social media platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
- Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and complete tasks as assigned
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Majoring in Communications or a related field is a plus
