Human Resources Assistant (MIL)

You will analyze employee documents to determine pay entitlements; obtain data needed to complete personnel actions; resolve personnel pay issues to ensure employees receive correct pay entitlements; and explain qualifications requirements to potential candidates.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE GS-04 LEVEL, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience demonstrating progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.

Education Requirements: In lieu of general experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: Successful completed at least two full academic years of education above high school level.

---OR--- a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to the required experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE GS-05 LEVEL, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting customers with travel and passport issues; 2) Arranging transportation services using automated systems for travelers; and 3) Review itineraries and other travel documents for completeness and accuracy.

Education Requirements: In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

---OR--- a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

**A transcript must be submitted with your resume if qualifying using education. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This is NOT a remote working position.  This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.  Travel is NOT required.

Conditions of Employment:
