Facilities Associate
Overview
The Midtown Eats Food Hall is opening soon in the heart of Honolulu, and we’re seeking energetic, reliable individuals who want to be part of an exciting new dining destination. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our facilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient environment for all operations.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize interior of buildings and commonly used items
- Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to proper disposal areas
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust floors and surfaces
- Clean and stocking restrooms with necessary supplies
- Maintain cleaning inventory and ensure janitorial closets are clean/organized
- Maintain outdoor seating area and sidewalks including removing debris
- Report any maintenance of safety issues to Operations Manager
- Perform routine building inspections and report issues as needed
- Complete work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Assist with repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Perform general upkeep such as light painting, drywall repair, and hardware replacement
- Assist with vendor coordination for larger repairs to specialized services and projects
- Assist with monitoring premises to ensure safety of property, assets, and individuals on site
- Adhere to safety standards and building codes
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred (but not required)
- Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques for various surfaces
- Experience in building maintenance, facility upkeep, or related field preferred (but not required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems (but not required)
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Ability to diagnostic tools to identity and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, or holidays if needed
