College Internship Program
M. Dyer Global, a Hawaii-owned and operated relocation, storage, and logistics services company based in Pearl City, seeks to hire top college talent to support and strengthen our growing business. We seek enthusiastic individuals pursuing undergraduate degree programs who will join our ‘ohana as interns to begin understanding our business, unique culture, and people in a hands-on, supportive team environment. Requirements for all positions:
- 15- 30 hrs. per week commitment during the internship period.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug screen.
The functional areas of M. Dyer Global participating in the program are listed below.
- ACCOUNTING – MDG is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented student with a strong grasp of accounting to help estimate and monitor our cost controls and financial transactions. You will be involved in developing, analyzing, or executing budgets; preparing data to support the budgetary cycle; analyzing and comparing budget estimates for variances; making recommendations to upper management on several issues, including transfers and reallocations of funding; and much more! Interns will perform necessary work on compliance, receivable/payable accounts, and related matters.
Accounting Intern Duties and Responsibilities
-Help prepare invoices and expense reports.
-Analyze financial data.
-Research for budgeting and financial forecasting.
-Provide administrative support as needed. - MARKETING & SALES - We are looking for students to assist at various stages of the sales process, including raising awareness of new offerings, generating leads, and retaining customers. The ideal intern will be a strong fit for our energetic and creative team. You’ll gain hands-on experience in creative content, advertising strategies, market research, and content creation for our social media platforms and website.
Marketing Intern Duties and Responsibilities
-Research and generate lists of potential customers.
-Provide input on customer briefs, presentations, and sales literature.
-Help develop client relationships and retain existing accounts.
-Assist in evaluating new sponsorship opportunities.
-Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.
-Learn and apply sales techniques.
-Maintain sales records.
-Create creative content for advertisements, social media platforms, and websites.
-Provide administrative support as needed.
-Work in conjunction with all departments.
- OPERATIONS—We seek motivated, hands-on students interested in learning the core of our relocation and logistics operations. This role provides real-world exposure to how moves are planned, staffed, executed, and delivered. Interns may work both in the office and in the field and will gain firsthand experience supporting crews, customers, and operational leadership. This is a physical, manual-labor position and may include on-the-road assignments.
Operations Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
-Foster a team-oriented and safety-focused work environment.
-Assists with daily operations planning, including dispatching crews and resources accordingly.
- Support moving crews in the field: packing, unloading, household or commercial goods; assist with on-site move logistics at residential or business locations.
-Assist in reviewing and training of new software devices to the team (exp. Digital inventory)
-Monitors and reports on the progress of projects to leadership.
-Provides excellent customer service internally and externally.
-Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- HUMAN RESOURCES – MDG is looking for students interested and able to assist Human Resources functions focused on our most precious asset: our people. You could be involved in several areas, such as employee relations, human resource development, benefits, training, payroll administration, and recruitment/staffing.
Human Resources Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
-Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms.
-Schedule and confirm interviews and pre-employment drug screens.
-Updating job boards & social media accounts
-Participate in organizing company events.
-Prepare HR-related reports as needed.
-Provide administrative support as needed to all departments.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION—We seek highly motivated and engaged students to research and develop projects in budget and financial management, compliance, forecasting, and more. You will assist in addressing customers' and business partners' needs, issues, and concerns as we deliver world-class service. You will also help investigate and evaluate short—and long-range program goals, objectives, and milestones for future business.
Business Administration Intern Duties and Responsibilities
-Support initiatives spanning growth strategy and operational excellence.
-Research, analyze, and recommend courses of action that directly contribute to
tangible outcomes.
-Analyze industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities, and internal
performance.
-Work effectively in a team environment, with business and external partners
-Provide administrative support as needed.
-Work in conjunction with all departments.
