Position Title: LRAM Commercial Driver (CDL) - Pohakuloa Training Area, HI

Department Summary: CEMML is a research, education, and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DoD) and other public lands. Position Summary: An Hourly LRAM Commercial Driver (CDL) position is available at Pohakuloa Training Area, HI with Colorado State University (CSU) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML). The position is located in Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA), HI. These positions cannot exceed 9 months, but opportunities for permanent positions may become available during or after a temporary assignment. These positions are contingent on continued project funding at PTA. Remote work is not allowed for this position. 
Work will be on-site at PTA, Hawaii.

Responsibilities/Duties: 
• The position will provide Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) support for US Army Garrison (USAG) Hawaii at PTA.  This position will operate wheeled loader, dump trucks and water trucks for the purpose of completing LRAM projects. Primary functions are soil stabilization and vegetation management on Army lands. This position will also require operational maintenance and inspections of all equipment for operational readiness and safety, tracking and preparing weekly progress reports.

Required Qualifications: 
• Ability to work in-person at Pohakuloa Training Area, HI.
• High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent 
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A
• 2 Years experience with running and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform strenuous labor under all weather conditions (e.g., heat and humidity, rain)
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly without assistance.
• Ability to follow directions, work collectively with others as a team, and maintain safe working standards.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
• The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Experience working on military lands
• Experience running and maintaining heavy equipment such as:
  - 10-to-25-ton dump trucks
  - 2000 gallon water truck
  - Front-in loaders
  - Back hoes

Hourly Pay Rate: Hourly pay range is $28.85/hour.
