Residential Life Assistant Job Description
Position is paid and includes housing, meals, utilities, and health insurance on top of intern salary.

Students who live within this program will become responsible and independent servant-leaders, reliable and adventurous, be able to care for one another, and be ready to be productive citizens of the larger world.
More specifically, the Residential Life Assistant will:
- Be familiar with and live out the Boarding Mission and School Mission.
- Assist Dean of Residential Life with any and all residential life related tasks.
- Receive, review and approve/deny signout requests for student departures over the weekends (other approved signout times).
- Oversee the coordination of school shuttles to and from the airport for any necessary student travel.
- Meet with students in groups and one-on-one as needed.
- Enact student discipline when necessary.
- Work with Dean of Residential Life to design/oversee/facilitate fitting programs for boarding students.
- Work with Dean of Residential Life to problem-solve student discipline issues.
- Fill in for dorm parents who need coverage as necessary.
- Perform AC and light inspections in student rooms.
- Move dorm furniture and prepare boarding student rooms as necessary.
- Mediate meetings between students when necessary.
- Assist Dean of Residential Life with busier times of the year, including:
- Summer Break return shuttles
- Pre-Academic Program
- Christmas Break Return shuttles
- Spring Break Return shuttles
- Dorm cleanings
- “Experience Student” Programs
- New Pacific Century Academy
- Answer emails as necessary.
- Help oversee the Reslife Instagram page by updating, reviewing, captioning and adding posts that reflect the activity of the reslife program.
- Be familiar with the student handbook and the student handbook test. Administer handbook tests as necessary.
- Be on duty multiple nights a week and on multiple weekend teams.
- Organize and track student Passports and I20’s.
- Organize, track and update the student tech registry
- Review security camera footage as necessary.
- Assist in overseeing proper usage of school gym.
- Assist in overseeing gym certification for students.
- Assist in overseeing updates and revisions to any student handbook policy.
- Assist with any and all holiday events for boarding students.
- Transport students to medical facilities if necessary.
- Meet with parents to give boarding student updates and to strategize around student growth.
- Be familiar with how to use REACH Boarding software to track duty reports and student signouts.
- Compile welcome baskets for new students.
- Oversee the celebration of boarding student birthdays.
- Assist in organizing Reslife Google Drive folder as necessary.
